Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross teamed up to produce the soundtrack to David Fincher's upcoming film "Gone Girl". NPR is currently streaming the entire album.
Thom Yorke has come up with an inventive way to distribute the album. It's being released through BitTorrent, a move which he says, if successful, could revolutionize the music industry.

Due to the virtual vacuum in space, it's not sound like you and I experience it (that being waves pulsing through the air), but there are electromagnetic waves that pulsate at the same wavelength as the sound waves we can hear. Instruments on several NASA probes including Voyager have recorded these waves and translated them into a sound that we can hear, and they are all kinds of spooky. This is the kind of thing you hear in a movie just before someone opens a door in a dark hallway. So, take a listen to the true nature of the solar system. And sleep tight.

Reel Ones' "Separation Blues" video tackles the sensitive subject of a relationship coming to an end. Moreover, it exposes the ending of a marriage and all of the dominos that come crashing down as a result. Sounds absolutely terrible, right? Well, it is...but the upside is the manner in which the message is delivered. Paired with an upbeat melody and instrumentation, the stop-motion approach is playful, interesting, and ultimately compelling.
And remember, it don't touch the trim!
probably shared liked and whatnot too much, but here it is.

This is an excerpt from the record Years, created by Bartholomäus Traubeck, which features seven recordings from a record player that plays slices of wood.
What you are hearing is a tree's year ring data reproduced with a PlayStation Eye and Ableton music software. Every tree sounds vastly unique due to varying characteristics of the rings, such as strength, thickness and rate of growth.
